In the US, the grassroots <\/span>“decriminalize psilocybin mushroom initiative”<\/span><\/a> launched on May 7, 2019, might have been the catalyst for the shift in perception. This movement resulted in over 100 US cities launching campaigns aimed at decriminalizing psilocybin and expanding access to its potential benefits.<\/span><\/p>

Since 2019, 14 cities along with the state of Oregon have <\/span>decriminalized or legalized<\/span> their usage. Research from respected institutions like Johns Hopkins has educated the public, but it’s the legislative initiative that has reignited interest.<\/span><\/p>
