Hillbilly Pumpkin Psilocybe Cubensis Spore Swab
This spore swab contains sterile, high-quality spores of the Hillbilly Pumpkin Psilocybe cubensis hybrid, a fusion between the classic Hillbilly cubensis strain and a brightly pigmented mutant. Each swab is prepared under sterile lab conditions to ensure clean, viable spores for collectors and advanced microscopy work.
Prefer to grow rather than study this strain? It is also available as Hillbilly Pumpkin Liquid Culture Syringe. Read more in the Magic Mushroom Strain Library, or browse the full Spore Swab range. New to this? Read what a spore syringe is and how it works.
Genetics & appearance
Hillbilly Pumpkin is known for vibrant orange colouration, chunky stems and a bold, high-contrast genetic profile, making it a distinctive subject for spore morphology, pigmentation and hybrid lineage research.
Swab format
The swab format is a practical, low-cost way to collect and transport a sample directly from the spore print, ideal for slide preparation or as a reference sample for hybrid comparison.
- Sterile, lab-tested Hillbilly Pumpkin Psilocybe cubensis spores
- Swab format for direct, low-cost sample collection
- Suitable for microscopy and hybrid lineage research
- Prepared and packaged under sterile lab conditions
Spore products are sold strictly for microscopy, taxonomy and research purposes. They contain no psilocybin or psilocin and are not intended for the cultivation of psilocybin-containing mushrooms.

Mark Forster (verified owner) –
Spore swabs came a bit dry, together with older dryer agar plates it can lead to no growth. Good advice is to look for some condensation water on top of the agar plate before trying to incubate by rubbing over the agar plate with swab.Another option is to break apart the top of the swab on the last plate and stick the swab into the plate for more humidity conservation. This was actually my most successful.
