A spore syringe is the most convenient way to work with Psilocybe cubensis spores under the microscope: the suspension is ready to draw, so there is no scraping or mixing.
What is in a Mondo spore syringe?
- 20 ml of sterile water with suspended spores of one named strain
- A sterile needle, packed separately
- Disinfectant wipes
Store the syringe in the fridge and keep it sealed until you need it. Spores are dormant, so they keep considerably longer than living cultures.

Spore syringe or liquid culture?
A spore syringe holds dormant spores, each genetically slightly different. A liquid culture holds living mycelium from one selected line. For microscopy, spores are what you need; the differences are explained in what is a spore syringe and liquid culture vs spore syringe.
