- 20 ml liquid culture syringe (premium selected mycelium)
- 1 sterile needle
- Alcohol swabs
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Preparation
Inspection
- Inspect the liquid culture syringe to ensure the liquid is clear, contains visible mycelium, and is free from contamination such as discoloration.
Syringe Preparation & Disinfection
- Remove the protective cap from the syringe.
- Disinfect the syringe tip using an alcohol swab.
- Carefully remove the sterile needle from its packaging.
- Securely attach the needle to the syringe and disinfect the needle.
- Thoroughly disinfect the injection port of the chosen substrate.
Step 2: Injection into Substrate
- Gently shake the liquid culture syringe to evenly distribute the mycelium.
- Inject the full contents (20 ml) through the injection port of the grow box or grow bag.
- Tilt the grow box sideways and up and down, or gently massage the grow bag, to evenly distribute the liquid culture throughout the substrate.
