  • 1 sterile needle
  • Alcohol swabs

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preparation

Inspection
  • Inspect the liquid culture syringe to ensure the liquid is clear, contains visible mycelium, and is free from contamination such as discoloration.
Syringe Preparation & Disinfection
  • Remove the protective cap from the syringe.
  • Disinfect the syringe tip using an alcohol swab.
  • Carefully remove the sterile needle from its packaging.
  • Securely attach the needle to the syringe and disinfect the needle.
  • Thoroughly disinfect the injection port of the chosen substrate.

Step 2: Injection into Substrate

  • Gently shake the liquid culture syringe to evenly distribute the mycelium.
  • Inject the full contents (20 ml) through the injection port of the grow box or grow bag.
  • Tilt the grow box sideways and up and down, or gently massage the grow bag, to evenly distribute the liquid culture throughout the substrate.
